Is There Such A Thing As Too Much SEO?

SEO (search engine optimization) can break
or make a website. It is the difference between a global traffic sensation and
a website full of cobwebs. SEO is the backbone to any great website, but what
happens when there is too much SEO and is there such as thing?

The answer is yes. Too much SEO could be really bad
for a website. Generating traffic is important but having an intelligent
website is more important. Today’s online viewers want to know that
the webmaster in charge of the site, they are viewing knows a thing or two
about what the website is promoting.

SEO trends and tips tell us just one important
thing, to use great keywords. That is important but you must also use these
keywords moderately. Using one word 6-7 times within a paragraph is not a
well-designed article and the viewers will pick up on it fairly quickly. In
fact, Google has already picked up on the use and abuse of overusing keywords and
Google has launched a new penalty for using too many
keywords. They are referencing it as "Overly SEO’ed or Over-Optimized". Websites
will be targeted for the overuse of keywords and will be penalized according to
Google’s new rules.

Google has decided that many websites that have
better content are being pushed to the back burner as the websites hosting too
many keywords make their way to the forefront of any popular search engine. As
imposed by Google, it simply levels the playing field for other hardworking
websites. Within the next few months or even weeks, Google will began to
monitor websites and assign penalties accordingly.

At the end of the day, shaping an article with a
vast amount of keywords might seem like the best idea but it could end up
hurting a website’s chances in the end.

How to Drive Traffic to Your Website
Since the internet became a huge force years ago, websites have become the target for paying bills, shopping, reading news, and obtaining guides for daily life. Millions of websites offer some form of guidance from relationships to health advice and millions of webmasters have the potential to earn a decent revenue from these websites. However, they need readers and they need viewers. With millions of websites to choose from it can become very hard for webmasters to draw attention to their website.
Great Tips For Driving Traffic to Your Website:
    SEO
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) should be your best friend when promoting a website. The quickest approach to driving traffic is to get acknowledgement through search engines.
SEO simply means incorporating important keywords into your website that will be picked up by random search engines. Unfortunately, when SEO was introduced webmasters thought that by putting a keyword into an article 15-20 times that it would drive traffic to their website. The only issue with that is that once a viewer clicks on the website they find an article that makes little sense and shows very little talent, if none at all.
SEO can be a huge investment to any website. But the articles should be informative and viewers should find them attractive. Keywords should also be used moderately, just 3-4 times per article will drive traffic.
    SEM
SEM (Search Engine Marketing) can be a huge factor in driving traffic due to the popularity of social networking sites. SEM is using the social aspects of the internet for their promotion value. This can be acheived through videos, chats, social networking sites, etc. Broadcasting your website through these social networking sites will easily bring in traffic.
Just like with any social networking site, people will talk to each other about this website or that one. Word of mouth is extremely beneficial for any type of business. This person will tell that person and so on until you have a flock of people clicking on your website.
Use social networking sites, build links to your site and use the popularity of videos as a way to drive traffic to your website. It can pay off in big ways.
    Blogging
Blogging is helpful in building clientele but it can drive traffic to your website as well, as long as your blogs show talent.
By blogging you are already building a relationship with your customers, a connection with them. By reading your blogs, viewers should feel like they want to come back to your website again.
Another great thing about blogging is that viewers can leave comments or some form of feedback. The feedback received can show you who is reading your blog and what their interests are. Many times, webmasters find new ideas for their websites this way.
Driving traffic to your website is not nearly as hard as keeping viewers interested.  To do this, you have to keep your website entertaining and since there are many copycat websites on the internet today, that can be hard to accomplish but at least now, you can start driving traffic to your website.
